And, aside from the concert itself, it was a hugely enjoyable social event with a rare opportunity for Society members to meet up from different countries - the only disappointment being some last minute no shows. The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra officials provided us with truly exceptional V.I.P. treatment, not the least of which was that wonderful dinner under the stars which went on well... ]]></description>

We're disappointed, of course, that the planned three concerts have been reduced to one. The explanation that I've heard is rather complicated, having to do with the scheduling of Serbian elections and demands upon the orchestra's time for some official national functions. <br><br>But what a monster concert this will be!
