The house was apparently bought from actor Richard Greene (famous for the old English TV series 'Robin Hood', and for such old classic films as 'Hound of the Baskervilles') who left Hollywood after the witchhunt.

There are some very shaky blurred shots of Rozsa's hallway and rooms in the Pavalek video from the 1970s, where antiquities, Roman busts, etc. adorn the stairs and corners.

We never did learn how the upturned bulldozer (or was it a cement truck?) was prized from the swimming pool floor!

P.S. I'd better revise the above comments.  Richard Greene didn't sell his house to Rozsa BECAUSE of the HUAC thing: he went to war, served as an officer, was decorated, then found a return to his previous career difficult, divorce etc..  The HUAC thing was later, when the 'Robin Hood' series was fingered as a haven for blacklisted screenwriters, and Greene was implemented.  Rozsa might well have known him from before though, as Korda was patron of both.
