Can't wait to listen to this new compilation.

It's good to read Doug Fake on the Intrada Forum writing about his enthusiasm for Rozsa and his hope to do more recordings - especially from the noir films, of which there are so many, the vast majority of which remain unheard (in many cases the films themselves have seemingly disappeared). As he says "Personally, I hope to get into his famous film noir period... but for a change, in full recordings of all those classics that so far have only been represented in short form or not at all, such as Brute Force, The Killers, Desert Fury, Double Indemnity and so forth. And Sahara fits the bill here as it has some of his darker film noir edge, albeit melding with his more florid, exotic voice. Just think what an incredible album extended versions of Brute Force and Sahara together would be!"

Any of those would be great but maybe first on my wish list would be a full version of BRUTE FORCE which is a stunningly effective score, by turns lyrical, brutal and nostalgic. The music for the climactic prison escape is amazingly fast-paced and frenzied and would be a formidable challenge for any orchestra!
