Marco, the  Way of the Cross  choral cue forms part of the concert I am told; not sure exactly where within it; Allan Wilson arranged it for chorus and orchestra - but the concert is not being conducted by him I presume.

The main work as it says is Faure's wonderful Requiem, just as appropriate for such a religious Good Friday occasion as the Rozsa piece, and I would say all well worth a listen!

Interestingly, this makes now five of the short choruses to have been orchestrated, as the "Christmas Sequence" as arranged by Chris Palmer back in 1992 (and recorded on RPO Records) featured Mary and Joseph, Star of Bethlehem, Adoration of the Magi and Nativity. Had this huge talent lived we might have had a similarly orchestrated "Easter Sequence" (he once told me he wanted to complete this, but sadly didn't)......well at least this first piece, suitable for Good Friday and with Allan's arrangement, is a fine start, and maybe it should also serve as a little tribute to Chris Palmer, coming nearly twenty years since his - and the composer's - death in 1995. Tempus fugit indeed......
