Logical assumption, John, but according to the press release from last January: "Cristian Macelaru (Jan. 30-31), Associate Conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra, will make his DSO debut conducting a program starring DSO Concertmaster Yoonshin Song and other members of the Orchestra performing Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody No. 1, the DSO Premiere of Rózsa’s Sinfonia Concertante, Webern’s Passacaglia and Schumann’s Symphony No. 4."

According to Macelaru's schedule (per his website), he will be conducting in Denmark through the 29th, so perhaps he had to cancel with the DSO. It is interesting, as you note, that they changed to entire program, however. I wonder who the cellist for the Sinfonia Concertante was to have been, but of course it's a moot point.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! 2015 will bring at least one exciting new Rózsa release -- and hopefully more!
