I don't recall the previous comments here on CREST OF THE WAVE, but it was a topic a while ago. Ignoring the accordian music and comic, bubbly bassoon episodes, the brief score for main drama could be fashioned into a short suite. I found it stirring, even though the film (based on a play) is hardly more than a programmer. TCM billed it as a comedy, which is misleading, though there is a humorous subplot.
