This pretty much illustrates what I said in the other thread about Bronston being stuck in a cycle of cliches. Rozsa himself had become a cliche by then as regards historical epics. That Bronston was determined to get first Heston, then Boyd, and Rozsa, all from B-H, only proves how determined he was to repeat the success of that model using the same ingredients. Like most of todays producers, I'm sure if he could have got away with a film called, "Ben Hurs Again" he'd have done so.
