Too many damned close-up's. Another stinko musical from Jack L. Warner's former studio is "Camelot." Only Alfred Newman's efforts are appreciated by this viewer. And it's yet another movie all shot with far too many close-ups

Personally i think that's what's wrong with most movies--too many close-ups--and it's getting worse. It's what caused me to lop points off the first two Lord Of The Rings , though oddly the third largely avoided it and was much better (and probably the best "historical" film since the 60s). Would someone like to explain what it is with these close-ups? You look at a film like B-H and close ups are used only highlight dramatic confrontations. Now whole scenes are shot with nothing but close-ups (see Pearl Harbor), making it impossible to determine where one character is standing in relation to the other or anything else. It gives me claustrophobia, not to mention movie rage.
