I received my copy of SODOM AND GOMORRAH yesterday. The sound is somewhat improved over the Legend LP transfer I've been listening to for the last several years, but the notes, such as they are -- two pages among 14 other pages of photos and poster reproductions -- are dreadful beyond description (Rózsa and "Sandor" Korda first went to Hollywood for KNIGHT WITHOUT ARMOUR, where THE FOUR FEATHERS was also filmed; and the language: "Miklós Rózsa's name is linked to hundreds of scores for romantic and dramatic cinema exploding effectively during the Golden Age of Hollywood.") And so on.

It seems to me that if one is going to need material in a language other than one's own, one should hire someone whose first language it actually is, rather than merely have one's text translated indifferently.

Oh, well, it really about the music, isn't it?
