At least I got a reaction from that! Ok, I didn't really really (sic) mean it!
It's just, when I started typing, I had to come up with a JG score I truly dislike, and (since I wasn't home), I started thinking real hard, and just COULDN'T come up with a title (and I'm not saying there aren't any, I'm sure there's a few).
And so I chose "Rambo II", simply because... I REALLY dislike the movie, and therefore... I never got to like the score very much. But one day, I hope, I'll manage to disconnect the movie and the score, and enjoy the score, which is known as one of JG important ones.
What if I had written "Two Days in the Valley"? Better?
As for disconnecting music from movie, I have a great example: I disliked Hook, but years later, discovered it was one of Williams' best scores. So then it encouraged me to try and apreciate the movie, which I taped on TV some two years ago, and... it truly disgusted me!!! I couldn't watch it till the end.
Now I can't listen to Hook anymore!
The connection is back.
(Haven't tried watching a Robin Williams movie since either...
Hook is a potent poison.
I CAN watch a Spielberg movie, though, since Spielberg didn't really direct Hook. No, he didn't.
) (I guess we'll call that selective denial.)
