The soundtrack for "Lust for Life" is truly remarkable for its clearity and dynamics. I think it equals "Ben-Hur" in sonic quality.
I also like the old Decca Stereo LP entitled Rozsa: "Lust for Life" Suite/Background to Violence which also features selections from "The Killers," "Brute Force" and "The Naked City." My old LP still sounds terrific. Rozsa conducted the Frankenland State Symphony and did an excellent job. The Prelude to "Brute Force" sounds very much as it did in the actual film except in this case it's in full stereo.
