I think they should provide a lot more information than is normally given on releases. This is a fundamental element of producing recordings.

Each track should have the at least the following, legible together :

1. Title/name given to identify it.
2. The element name if it is part of a set.
3. The performer and date of performance of the music.
4. The composer and date of composition of the music.
5. The time the track plays.
6. The time of the set if they exist.
7. Total time of the production.

This is the minimum, a courtesy to the customer. There are many other complimentary information that can be included. Discographical information should always be provided. I can only agree with Paul that there is a certain lack of effort in many cases. The company simply choosing to ride on the music.

The music and it's performance are an entirely different issue.
