Look men, if you click on the FSM link that I provided above to Ron's post, as opposed to just the Telarc link, you'll get the timings as provided by a distributor. 'Plymouth Adventure' is about 5 mins. or so, and is listed as 'The Mayflower' not the suite. It probably ends with a choral treatment of the hymn.

But we're not talking about that. We're talking strictly about Telarc and their responsibility to provide sufficient 'buying decision' info. That is after all the name of the game.

It's not sensible for companies to use more than a sample of what's on the track (Telarc have been known to put up whole samples as on the Rozsa disc) because there is software out there that enables storage of the whole thing, and even if compressed, some will frankly pirate it. FSM were unusual in this respect and would've preferred not to.

My complaint was specifically that I downloaded the "Windjammer" track and it only played the first 10 seconds and then looped. The first 10 seconds doesn't even introduce the theme, and would be useless in judging any track. Try it.

There are very few sites that would provide all the constipatory info wanted above. Most sane people simply don't want to know recording dates etc.. You know the orchestra, the composers, the conductor, the company, the films ....

JoMRS was obviously referring to something else. No one wants all that info on the listing site, of course. I simply want the film title followed by the track titles with timings--no more. Come on, William, why are you making excuses for slack? You know that's the least we should expect before shelling out.
