My Recent Posts
I found the IVANHOE and then JULIUS CAESAR Intrada CDs just great sounding to my ears, when they were released some years ago. Somehow the full orchestral resources shone through triumphantly on both these invaluable re-recordings.
As far as Concert music discs, I would choose the Telarc Violin and Cello concertos, which also happened to contain such fine performances, as well as sounding so clean and fresh.
I prefer the ASV String Quartets CD over the earlier Laurel release-good as that one was. Fuller sound and a more "open" accoustic reveal these works again to be the gems they most certainly are.
