I wondered about the Goldsmith pic too but then I thought that it must have been a last minute tribute to him around the time of his death. After all, Rozsa was Goldsmith's mentor and taught him classes didn't he?

Goldsmith credits early exposure to the score to SPELLBOUND (of all things!) with instilling his desire to be a composer, and he did study with Rózsa at USC fairly briefly, but if Goldsmith had a true mentor, one of long and profound standing, it was Alex North, echoes of whose music can be heard throughout Goldsmith's oeuvre.
