I knew you'd have the answer. Thanks Bill.

Why is it that today we don't have films of this complexity, humor, rich with subtexts that can be viewed over and over providing us with an abundance of riches?

The other night I tried to watch "Monsignor" which attempts to tell the story of a rather overly-ambitious priest who finds himself falling in love with a woman (right there you have to question it!) and how it forces him to question his faith. (Yawn!) Dreadful movie! It's hard to believe that Frank Perry was involved, but then again he also directed "Mommy Dearest" at that time so I suppose he was in general decline by then. "Monsignor" was made back in 1982. Most of what's produced today is just as insipid, possibly even more so.

What a revoltin' development this is!
