I am curious to know about Miklos Rozsa's possible involvement in John Houston's "The Bible " in the mid - sixties.
I recall reading something smewhere ( I think it was in one of Tony Thomas's books ) that he was approached at one stage to do it and Dr. Rozsa was interested as he saw it as the culmination of his biblical scores. The arrangements did not work out and then John Huston introduced his Japanese Beethoven Toshiro Mayuzumi to work on the film.
I would be interested to hear from fellow members if they have any information or recollections from this episode.
As good and respectable Mayuzumi's score is we can only dream and imagine what Rozsa would have written for this film and it's sequences !
